This page covers the Actor Classes window of UnrealEd's interface in detail. The basics of working with actors are covered in Actor Overview

Actor Classes Browser

The Actor Classes Browser is what has to be used to add anything from decorations (meshes), spawnpoints, inventory items to special effect to your level. The Actor Classes Browser as the name suggests is a utility within the Editor that allows you to browse through the list of actors available in your UT. Once an Actor is selected you can add it to your level by right-clicking on the spot where you want it to go and hitting 'add <selected actor> here'. The browser can also be used to export actors and load up extra packages containing actors.

The Actor Classes Browser is accessed in two ways:

  • Select UnrealEd Main Menu -> View -> Actor Classes Browser
  • Press the Actor Classes Browser button in the middle of the toolbar at the top of the Editor window. It looks like a chess pawn (4).

The basics of this page are covered by Actor Overview, however this page should mention more advanced stuff, like editing actor default properties, saving packages, etc. Technical stuff.
