About Ver5.7[edit]
Well, I'm a lone wolf dev trying to realise a project that has been a long time coming.
I will create the project page as soon as a good deal of the documentation has been sorted out (time and other factors willing).
Updates[edit]
April 2004
Project documentation/planning coming along (albeit slowly...).
Saw the Unreal Engine 3.0 (NV40) demonstration movie; wow...
July 2004
At last my copy of Paul Steed's "Creating a character in 3DSM" has arrived!
Seriously interesting reading ;)

A very late update, I know :/
My project stalled some time ago due to, well, life! But the good news is that I haven't abandoned it just yet and I’ve begun dusting off the old material for review and updating ;)
My life has changed quite a bit this year and this month saw me starting a new job in database application development after more than six years of IT Support and Administration. I could still really do with a vacation though ;)
The project, which from now on will be referred to as “UR”, will still take a bit of a back seat because I’ve got a truck-load of studying ahead of me, but I’m definitely going to dedicate time toward it. My main focus will be fleshing out the concept and doing a fair amount of concept art to properly convey the theme and direction I wish to take with UR. I’ve had to accept the fact that if I want to have UR become a reality, I will need the assistance if community talent. So, the better my documentation the better the chances for a successful collaboration!
A few general details regarding UR[edit]
- UR is an FPS total conversion that I hope to implement on the Unreal 3.0 engine
- Original models and assets but may reuse some content (textures) to save time
- Original soundtrack
- Somewhat ambitious level design given the scope of the title and the capabilities of the future engine
- Strict adherence to total emersion
Unfortunately I can’t reveal any aspects of the story or anything else along those lines; this will be info privy to authorised contributors. Besides, I’m sure that it will be a pleasant surprise to players such as myself that have been longing for a game like this ;)
More info as it materializes!
God Speed!
